Easter Candy at Rite Aid $8.41

  I purchased all this at Rite Aid last night for an out of pocket cost of 8.41.  Anyone know a good dentist? j/k  We sure do drink alot of milk.  I had several coupons, some of them were Rite Aid Ad-Perk Coupons that you earn online, some were manufacturers coupons, some credits came from the $3 off a $15 purchase I received for answering the survey on my last receipt and I had $7 in +up$.  The pre-coupon price for the sale items was $22.94.  It would have been 33.81 if regularly priced....if my math is correct. In any case, thats alot of candy for under ten dollars.

WATER

• Store water in plastic containers such as soft drink bottles. Avoid using containers that will decompose or break, such as milk cartons or glass bottles. A normally active person needs to drink at least two quarts of water each day. Hot environments and intense physical activity can double that amount. Children, nursing mothers, and ill people will need more.
• Store one gallon of water per person per day. Don't forget your pets.
• Keep at least a three-day supply of water per person (two quarts for drinking, two quarts for each person in your household for food preparation/sanitation).
• Change this water every six months. Household liquid bleach to kill microorganisms:
  
  • Use only regular household liquid bleach that contains 5.25 percent sodium hypochlorite. Do not use scented bleaches, colorsafe bleaches or bleaches with added cleaners.
  • Add 16 drops of bleach per gallon of water, stir and let stand for 30 minutes. If the water does not have a slight bleach odor, repeat the dosage and let stand another 15 minutes.
  • The only agent used to treat water should be household liquid bleach. Other chemicals, such as iodine or water treatment products sold in camping or surplus stores that do not contain 5.25 percent sodium hypochlorite as the only active ingredient, are not recommended and should not be used.

• Ready-to-eat canned meats, fruits, vegetables.
• Canned juices, milk, soup
• Sugar, salt, pepper
• High energy foods such as peanut butter, jelly, crackers, granola bars, trail mix; foods that will not increase thirst.
• Vitamins
• Foods for infants, elderly, persons with special dietary needs
• Comfort/stress foods: cookies, hard candy, sweetened cereals, lollipops, instant coffee, tea bags.
• Pet food, at least one ounce per animal pound per day.
• Avoid foods like rice, pasta and dry beans that require a great deal of water to prepare. Remember to restock your food once a year.

**Remember to include special needs family members such as a baby or an older person might have. It is also good to store in a water proof plastic bag important family documents (passports, wills, medical records etc.) along with your earthquake survival kit.

Bought 3 bottles of Downy, 64oz.  for .99 each.  They are on sale for 1.99 and I had 3 one dollar off coupons.

Chocolate 90% OFF (Valentines Day Clearance)

The Valentines Day Chocolate is 90% off, so most of the candy was 10 cents.  I got candy bars, the king size ones, they are on sale for BOGO plus I had two coupons for buy two get one free. 

I had six Rite Aid Up Dollars to put toward this purchase.  I paid 77 cents out of pocket.  I love days like that.

Save Mart and Walgreens

At Walgreens I had their coupon for Arm and Hammer Laundry soap, from thier advertiser last Sunday plus I had my coupon from the bricks.com website for 1.25 off.  When I got there the soap was posted as regular price 7 and something dollars.  So when I went to the register, the girl said it would automatically come off, and it did.  So I paid $1.24 for 30 loads of laundry soap!  Good deal if ya ask me!

At Save Mart I thought I was doing the Pepsi deal right but I misunderstood the ad.  You have to buy $25 worth of products that does not include the two Pepsi 24 packs.  So you spend $35 to save two dollars on Pepsi.  The manager was soooo kind.  I love Save Mart.
